Haitian Migrants in Del Rio, Texas.
In September 2021 thousands of Haitian migrants, many of whom had fled the impoverished island years ago, converged on the border crossing in Del Rio, Texas seeking asylum in the US. Most were summarily deported with no opportunity to avail themselves of their legal right to a credible fear hearing. Most of these images are of the lucky few who were permitted entry to pursue claims.
